Cultural Traditions Survey

Beginning in 2018 the Center will embark on a multi-year, in-depth survey of Washington’s diverse cultural traditions. This project will include identifying, learning about, and documenting cultural traditions and tradition bearers–beginning in the Yakima Valley in 2018.

From project documentation we’ll create engaging digital media and innovative educational events, in partnership with the communities we study.

Do you know someone in the Yakima Valley whose stories we should record, or whose work in some cultural tradition deserves recognition? Email CWCT Director Kristin Sullivan with suggestions and information.

The 2018 Cultural Traditions Survey is supported in party by funding from the National Endowment for the Arts: Art Works Program, and the Yakima Valley Community Foundation.
